Certified 14 Karat Gold Natural Diamond Stud Earrings

These are the highest grades. In this range, the diamonds will appear to have no color in any setting. Diamonds without color are very rare. Therefore, they cost more on the market.

These diamonds have very little color. Interestingly, when mounted in jewelry, these diamonds will appear colorless.

These diamonds may have visible color, although slight. Smaller diamonds, less than approximately 0.50 carat, may appear colorless or near colorless when in jewelry. In a larger diamond, a little color may be discerned. Keep this tip in mind when shopping; you could save money and walk away with a diamond that looks like a higher Color Grade.

The color is seen with increasing ease as the grades move down the scale.

The diamonds in this range will have a visible hue or tone of light yellow or light brown. If you are looking for a diamond that looks warmer, this might be the range for you.

A diamond with a clarity grade of 1 or 2 (VVS1 or VVS2) has minute inclusions that are difficult for a skilled grader to see under 10x magnification.

Very Slightly Included diamonds with a clarity grade of 3 or 4 (VS1 or VS2) have minor inclusions.

Slightly Included diamonds with a clarity grade of 5, 6, or 7 (SI1 or SI2) have noticeable inclusions that are fairly easy to see under 10x magnification. Sometimes, these inclusions can be visible to the unaided eye.

Included diamonds with a clarity grade of 7, 8, 9, or 10 (I1, I2, or I3), have inclusions that are obvious at 10x magnification.  Sometimes, they can be seen with the naked eye. At the lower clarities, may have an effect on the diamond’s durability.
